Afia Phillips is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc. and Ilitch Companies, with responsibility of overseeing Information Security for all business units within the Ilitch-owned companies, from in-store systems and hardware to box office ticket sales, to network-connected screens at venues across the organization’s restaurant, foodservice, sports, and entertainment empire.

In her previous role, Phillips held the positions of Global CISO and Global Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Leader for Daimler Mobility AG (formerly Mercedes-Benz Financial Services), establishing and executing strategies worldwide.

Promoting diversity in the field, Phillips envisioned and launched a summer co-op for high schoolers called Girls Get IT, an eight-week program offering hands-on experience in the information technology field. She is also a member and supporter of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation, T200, and the CXO Forum. She's a Governing Body Member of Evanta CIO & CISO Network, a former co-chair for the Professional Membership Services Committee of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and served as Audit Committee Member for the St. John Providence Health System. Additionally, Phillips was appointed to the State of Michigan’s Board of Ethics by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Phillips has received a Crain’s honor for Notable Women in STEM. Additionally, she recently received the 2023 Top Global CISO Award from Cyber Defense Magazine.
